This yarn is made from a 50/50 mix of mulberry silk and yak wool, resulting in one of the softest, warmest, and most fluid yarns you’ll ever touch.

Mulberry silk refers to silk made from caterpillars that feed exclusively on mulberry leaves. The cocoons of these caterpillars produce some of the most luxurious and soft silk yarns available.

The mix of yak and silk ensures the yarn is non-irritating to the skink. The color of the yarn comes naturally from the yak, creating a rich, deep, dark brown shade enhanced by the natural sheen of the silk.

The silk is sourced from China, while the yak wool comes from Mongolia and Tibet. The fibers are blended and spun together in Europe.
