Oversized beanie - Baby alpaca/linen/silk

This yarn is a mix of 50% baby alpaca, 25% linen, and 25% silk. It is warm, but to the touch, it feels like an exceptionally soft linen yarn. It has a slight texture, and the color is undyed, featuring natural speckles of light brown from the linen plant. Despite this texture, it remains soft thanks to the baby alpaca.

“Baby alpaca” refers to the first shearing of the alpaca, typically when it is still young. Over the course of an alpaca’s life, the fibre becomes slightly coarser, but baby alpaca wool is known for being the softest.

The baby alpaca is sourced from the Peruvian Andes and comes from small farmers who are part of a program that pays above-average prices to support the sustainable breeding of alpacas. The silk is sourced from China, and the linen comes from a mix of European farms.

Yarn composition: Baby alpaca (50%), Linen (25%), Silk (25%)
Hand wash using mild detergent
Do not machine wash
Squeeze excess water out but do not use excessive force
Lay flat to dry to prevent stretching
Do not tumble dry
