Utility Jacket - Blue Canvas
The Utility Jacket is our take on the everyday jacket. It features a dropped yet tailored shoulder and a two piece sleeve that follows the natural curve of the arm.
The silhouette is cropped and wide, creating a square shape that can be adjusted using the drawcord at the hem. This allows you to create a more balloon or bomber-like silhouette.
The inspiration comes from vintage hunting jackets from both the US and the UK. This is reflected in the oversized 3D front pockets, which are placed slightly higher on the body for a more athletic feel. Two hidden back pockets are integrated into the side seams, an ode to traditional hunting garments where functionality was key.
The jacket features a YKK zipper with an overlapping storm flap, allowing for versatile styling and different ways of closing the garment.
Despite its generous volume, the jacket sits closer to the body than expected.

Disclaimer: Most of our garments are Made-to-order. Please make sure to check your size before ordering. We work with local seamstresses and factories to make the garments once an order is placed. On average it takes 2 to 4 weeks to manufacture a piece.
Please note that our clothing is meant to be worn oversized. Therefore the most important measurements for you to take into account are the arm length for tops and coats and the side seam and waist band measurement when it comes to pants. All our pants have a drawstring incorporated on the inside of the waistband which can be used to tighten the waist to fit you properly.
If you are unsure which size fits you best, feel free to reach out to us at info@newspeakstudio.com. We can send you the exact measurements of any garment and size and give you advise about your size.
Lastly, if you would like your pants shortened or lengthened, we are able to adjust them for you. However these items cannot be refunded. Please send us an email with your order details and let us know your measurements if you would like an item in your order to be modified.

Shipping & returns
We offer free worldwide standard shipping and free returns within 14 days of receiving the order. Taxes and duties may apply on delivery, depending on the destination country. These will not be included at checkout.
If the garment is in stock, it will be shipped within 2 working days with DHL. Made to Order garments will be manufactured by us in our atelier in The Hague within 15 working days of the order being placed.
